The students of any country are the mirrors of its future. The Government Engineering College, Modasa celebrates the Republic day every year to inspire and cultivate national spirit amongst students. The 26th January 1950 marked a milestone day for every individual of this country.On 26th January 2020 the Government Engineering College, Modasa celebrated Republic day this year with pride and joy. The event also marked a Large gathering of Students, faculties, and local citizens to celebrate the day. Prof. H.D. Mehta Hosted a Flag and marked the beginning of the event. Speech delivered by Faculties and students, national songs, and performances made sure that everyone not only remembered the sacrifices of our braveheart but also took pride in being a citizen of this great nation.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
