On 1st February 2025, a Campus Cleanliness Drive was conducted as part of the NSS initiative to foster hygiene, cleanliness, and environmental responsibility among students and staff. The drive covered various zones including classrooms, corridors, hostel premises, and surrounding outdoor areas. Participants actively engaged in collecting litter, segregating waste, and promoting awareness about cleanliness and sustainability practices. The event was aligned with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and aimed at cultivating a cleaner, greener, and healthier campus atmosphere. The collective effort reflected students’ commitment to community service and ecological consciousness.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
