A site visit was organized on 4th February 2025 to the construction site of the new railway station near the Police Quarters in Modasa. The primary focus was to observe the practical implementation of Prestressed Concrete Technology in large-scale infrastructure works. Students observed key activities such as prestressed beam casting, tendon placement, tensioning techniques, anchorage systems, and curing methods. On-site engineers provided valuable technical explanations, highlighting the structural and economic advantages of prestressing. The visit was coordinated by Dr. A. J. Patel, who facilitated meaningful interactions between students and professionals, enhancing their real-world understanding of civil engineering practices.
