An expert talk on “Women Empowerment: Health Awareness and Prevention” was organized by the Women Development Cell, under the guidance of Dr. J.A. Vadher, in association with RUSA. The session featured Dr. Jalpa H. Shah (M.S. Gynaecologist) as the expert speaker. She addressed key women's health issues including breast and cervical cancer, reproductive health, and the critical role of a balanced diet and physical activity. The talk also highlighted how modern women often overlook their health due to various responsibilities. The session was interactive, including myth-busting discussions, practical health tips, and a Q&A segment. Around 100 girl students and female faculty members participated. The event concluded with certificate distribution and a vote of thanks.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
