GECM sports activities 2023

The Government Engineering College, modasa is a synonym of technical education in the area. The spearheading engineering college has been paving ways in technical education for over a 4 decades now. As every college has its own culture, we at GECM thrive on sporting culture. The daily basis sports can be seen on campus every evening. The authorities of the college have always been supporting towards sports hence we at GECM have full indoor badminton court in gymkhana, full size cricket ground, full size kho-kho and kabaddi grounds, three volleyball grounds in the campus. few other grounds are already planned and are under way as of now. In the current times the sports and physical activities have become more relevant than ever. It offers different perspective by preparing the students to not only physically but mentally. Preparing them physically and offering scope for building team spirit, leadership qualities. The sports are making them more competitive teaching them time management skills, giving them actual example of how regular practices will result in gradual improvement. The gecm along with many technical activities organizes the annual hostel sports, college sports where in instead of knockout the emphasis is on league games. The sports are organized in early morning and evening without affecting the academics. The result of such rigorous and prolong sessions can easily be seen in our GTU , inter university khelmahakhumbh participation. The gecm students excel and shine in the game.
