On 30/09/2023, around 70 students visited the PSP Precast Manufacturing Plant in Ahmedabad. It was organized by the Applied Mechanics Department and coordinated by Dr. A. J. Patel. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to precast construction techniques. During the visit, students observed various precast elements including beams, columns, walls, slabs, retaining walls, and culverts. They learned about the design, fabrication, and finishing processes involved in producing precast elements. Practical demonstrations showcased the manufacturing techniques and equipment used in producing precast elements.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
